A poetic Georgian mourning ring, crafted in glowing 18ct Gold with a luminous old mine-cut Diamond at its heart. Encircled by a halo of creamy Seed Pearls set against rich black Enamel, the sculptural cluster is enriched with scalloped edges, foliate scrolls and a delicately pierced gallery. A contrasting Silver collet around the Diamond adds a refined highlight, catching the light beautifully.

Beneath the crown lies a tender dedication, partially legible: "M Rich, OB 13 Dec 1835 at 15", anchoring this jewel to 1835 and imbuing it with poignant sentiment. Elegant and evocative, it’s a timeless keepsake of love and remembrance.

MEASUREMENTS: Crown/top is 10mm across.
Diamond measures 4mm long x 3.3mm wide, weighing approx. 0.30ct.
Seed Pearls measure 2mm in diameter.
Band is 1.5mm wide at the back.
WEIGHT: 2.8g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold, Silver Diamond setting, Diamond (0.30ct), Pearls, Enamel.

STAMPS: Inscribed under crown: "M Rich, OB 13 Dec 1835 at 15" (partially legible).

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

EXCELLENT: The old mine-cut Diamond is bright with no visible chips or abrasions, and the Seed Pearls are lustrous and well-matched. The 18ct Gold shank and ornate setting show only the lightest wear, with crisp detail throughout. No obvious signs of resizing or repair, beautifully preserved for its age.
