Topaz is 9.5mm long x 7mm wide.

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold, Foiled Pink Topaz.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

Condition

VERY GOOD. This Georgian 18ct Gold Foiled Topaz repoussé heart padlock is in splendid condition, especially when considering her grand age. Her Topaz is excellently foiled and has the most magnificent deep pink tone. While her Topaz does have a little nibble on a left sided facet, this is only visible under close inspection.

The 18ct Gold has retained her exquisitely saturated tone, despite years of wear, and the repoussé details are defined. There are some areas of wear to the body, which can be seen mostly on the top left of her front, but she is very much structurally intact, and for a Georgian piece she is in fabulous condition.

While her clasp is in perfect working condition, do remember to be very gentle with her when opening and closing as she is over 200 years old! She will make an incredible addition to your jewellery box!
