A quintessential Edwardian Diamond cluster, this antique ring marries warm 18ct Yellow Gold with cool Platinum settings in a delicate rosette. The scalloped Platinum-topped head is hand-finished with fine milgrain and a pierced gallery, framing a charming antique old mine/old cut Diamond at the centre encircled by eight twinkling old cuts.

Central Diamond measures 3.2mm x 3.5mm, approximately 0.30ct.
8 Diamonds measure 2mm each, approximately 0.24ct combined.
Diamonds total approximately 0.54ct.
Ring band is 1.5mm wide.
WEIGHT: 2.1g

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Yellow Gold, Platinum settings, Antique old cut Diamonds (approx. 0.54ct)

STAMPS: "18CT PLAT" (worn)

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

Condition

EXCELLENT: The Diamonds are bright and well-matched, with natural inclusions visible in some stones on close inspection. The cluster head and milgrain detail are crisp, and all stones appear secure in their settings. The slim Gold shank shows light surface wear and gentle patina commensurate with age, with no obvious signs of resizing or restoration.
