Item Details

ERA: Victorian, c.1900.

MEASUREMENTS: Necklace is 13 & 1/2" or 34cm long. (Can be lengthened free of charge by our in-house specialist antique jeweller.)
Chain is 2mm wide.
Sapphire detailing is 90mm across.
8 Sapphires are approx 4mm long x 6.5mm wide, approx 4.80ct combined.
Central Sapphire is 7mm long x 6.5mm wide, approx 2.40ct.
Total carat weight approx 7.20ct.
Weight: 9.6g

MATERIALS: Tests as 15ct Gold throughout, natural Sapphires, with no evidence of heat treatment (7.20ct total).

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

VERY GOOD-EXCELLENT. This antique 15ct Gold Sapphire necklace is in very good to excellent condition! Each Sapphire is secure and the vivid blue is harmonious throughout. There are some subtle surface marks to the central stone, however, this can only be seen through a jeweller's loupe. The 15ct Gold links are uniform and have a rich saturation throughout. With a fully functioning bolt-ring, this Victorian necklace can be enjoyed with confidence!
