Ring band is 2.5mm at the back.
Weight: 3.6g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold, Garnet.

STAMPS: 9CT inside band.
HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

Condition

VERY GOOD. This 9ct Gold Victorian Garnet cabochon pear ring is in very good condition throughout. The large Garnet is truly mesmerising with only minor age-related surface wear, noticeable under close inspection, and has remained securely held within its bezel. The Gold has an even buttery hue and the rope border is firmly affixed with no wear to note. This piece has likely had a new shank added and there is some evidence of this on the back of the setting, but this ring sits comfortably and smooth against the skin. If you're a lover of outstanding pieces of Victorian jewellery, don't hesitate to make this sumptuous ring yours!
