MEASUREMENTS: Chain is 53" or 135cm long.
Chain is 3.5mm wide.
Dog-clip is 20mm x 6.5mm.
Weight: 39.1g.
MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold cased.
STAMPS: NCR & CO on dog-clip.
HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

Condition
EXCELLENT. This 53" 9ct Gold cased Victorian longuard chain is in excellent condition. The links are securely connected with a lovely honey-gold hue throughout. There is some wear on the dog-clip, visible under a jerweller's loupe, but it still has excellent spring back and can be used with confidence. A versatile antique belcher chain that is sure to become a staple within your collection!
