A luminous Early Victorian treasure, this 15ct Gold cluster ring brings together creamy Opal cabochons and vivid natural unheated Rubies in a charming floral motif. A domed central Opal is encircled by further Opals and Rubies, each nestled within scalloped settings and delicate beaded detailing for that unmistakable mid-19th century romance.

The raised, pierced openwork gallery and split shoulders give the ring beautiful height and airiness while showcasing the stones’ glow and colour. Elegantly proportioned and richly detailed, it’s a timeless antique jewel with approx. 0.37ct of Opal and 0.20ct of Rubies that sings on the hand.

MEASUREMENTS: Cluster is 10.5mm in diameter.
Central Opal measures 4mm in diameter, weighing approx. 0.25ct.
4 x Opals measure 2mm in diameter, weighing approx. 0.12ct combined.
Total Opal weight is approx. 0.37ct.
4 x Rubies measure 2.5mm longx 2mm wide, weighing approx. 0.20ct total.
Band is 1.5mm wide at the back.
WEIGHT: 2.1g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 15ct Gold, Natural Solid Opal (0.37ct), natural unheated Rubies (0.20ct).

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

EXCELLENT: The Opal cabochons and Rubies present beautifully with minimal signs of wear and are secure in their settings. The 15ct Gold shows light surface wear and a gentle antique patina in recesses, commensurate with age. The shank and intricate openwork gallery are in excellent condition, remaining strong and well-preserved.
